Dr. Virginia (Ginger) Jenkot has volunteered with Hampton Roads Pride since 2014. She has served the organization in numerous positions, including Dignitary Liaison, former Vice President, and as Chair or Co-chair of PrideFest, Community Engagement, Partnership, and Finance committees.

She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Northern Illinois University and a Doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina. Her career in education encompassed both teaching and administrative positions. Ginger also serves as a Commissioner on the Virginia Beach Human Rights Commission.
